What a delightful Enervee tradition to share a portrait of our team as it grows. And my, have we grown over the past two years ~ 253% growth from 2020 to 2022!
Where to begin? Perhaps with origins.
Almost a third of us were born outside of the United States, with 47% born in Southeast Asia (India, Philippines, South Korea, Japan and China), 38% in Europe (Germany, Hungary, Russia), 14% in North / South America (Mexico, Canada, Brazil) and 1% in Africa (Nigeria). And nearly 9% are not American citizens.
Those who started their lives in the US were born in states from coast to coast, with the top five being California, New York, Indiana, and Texas. No matter where we started, we are now remotely distributed and you can find us in 30 states, and growing!

In terms of race and ethnicity, the Enervee team is more diverse and skewed significantly more American Indian/Alaskan Native (+354%), Asian/Pacific Islander (+247%) and multi-ethnicity (+226%) White/Caucasian (+104%) than the US population as a whole. And we’re underrepresented for Hispanic/Latino and Black/African American in that order.

There are a lot of languages spoken at Enervee. In addition to English, 30% speak a second language with native proficiency in Spanish as the most spoken, followed by German, Hindi, Tagalog, and Chinese. In addition, about 20% speak other languages with some level of proficiency, mostly French, Italian, and Japanese

...which serves us well when we roam the planet. Less than 5% of the Enervee crew has never been to another country, 15% have checked off 20+ countries from their bucket list, including a handful of globetrotters who have experienced 50 to 100 countries.
In terms of age diversity, the Enervee team skewed young with 46.8% in their 30s, 36.4% above 40s and 16.9% in their 20s
But who are we, really?
Given where we work, it should come as no surprise that we are generally a group of people who are passionate about doing good. But beyond this, we have diverse hobbies, life experiences and things that make each of us special. Let us just share four aspects of our human diversity:
- Kids: Nearly 45% of us are already parents, with between 1 and 8 kids each (average of 2)
- Education: 81% percent of us have a bachelor's degree or higher
- Hobbies: Top responses are sports (from running to endurance motorsport) , reading & hiking (a tie for second place), & travel (in that order), followed by exercise of many kinds , video gaming (both playing and development) and cooking & baking. And then there were the less frequent mentions, from “woodworking" to 3D printing … and many more
- Responses to our favorite question: What makes you special? To aid your interpretation, We’ve color-coded the responses, with purple covering “sports & entertainment”; red about “things we love”; green, sharing “random personal facts” (such as I went 23 years before trying mashed potatoes), and blue about “overcoming adversity”.
