How do I set up a payment method?

It is easy and will only take a few minutes to complete, follow the steps outlined below.

Steps for setting up an Bank Account ACH payment method:

  1. Log-in to your borrower portal at my.ecofinancing.com
  2. Navigate to the account you want to make a payment for if you have more than one.
  3. Click "Loan Options". 
  4. Select "Manage Payment Methods". 
  5. You can choose "Bank Account (ACH)" after clicking on the "add payment Method".
  6. You can choose between manually entering your bank account information or connect via Plaid by selecting "Autofill using bank login". 
    1. If the bank account details are entered manually, the system will trigger a micro-deposit process.  This is used to validate that the bank account belongs to you. More information on the process can be found here
    2. If you select "Bank Account (ACH)" and "Autofill using bank login" you will be guided through the Plaid bank account linking process. Once you successfully complete the Plaid flow you will be redirected back to the borrower portal. You will need to input your full name associated with the account. Once done click "Add".  

 

Steps for setting up a debit card payment method:

  1. Log-in to your borrower portal at my.ecofinancing.com
  2. Navigate to the account you want to make a payment for if you have more than one. 
  3. Click "Loan Options". 
  4. Select "Manage Payment Methods". 
  5. You can choose "Debit Card" after clicking on the "add payment Method". 
  6. Enter the card details including the first name and last name on the card, card number, expiration, cvc and billing zip code associated with the card. 
  7. When done click "Add". 
  8. Once the card is added it will be verified which can take a few minutes. 
  9. Once the card is verified successfully you can make a payment. 

 If you run into any issues verifying your debit card, ensure it's active and the card information was entered correctly.  If unsuccessful, contact customer support. 

 

Steps for updating your payment method:

  1. Log-in to your borrower portal at my.ecofinancing.com
  2. Navigate to your loan account you want to make a payment for.  
  3. Click "Loan Options". 
  4. Select "Manage Payment Methods". 
  5. Click on "Edit" next to the payment method. Some fields cannot be modified.
  6. You can also opt to remove or add payment methods from this screen.
